Review: Dragon Ball Super E.121-122

By Erika Suarez

After a few disappointing episodes, it finally led to some to great ones that we’ve been waiting for. Episode 121 gives a perfect set up for the showdown between the last remaining universes, 7 and 11. Universe 3 releases their trump card that was surprisingly acceptable and a worthwhile fight against universe 7’s warriors. For the latest episode, Vegeta intervenes in Goku’s fight between Jiren and delivers some intense Saiyan action that leaves us on the edge.

Review: Blend S

By Dustin Cabeal

I was surprised to see a meme based on the opening of Blend S. I suppose that shows how mainstream anime has become. Too bad the meme sucked! I’ve yet to see one that made me laugh and even worse, I couldn’t think up a joke that would make the meme funny. All that aside, Blend S was one of the best anime of 2017. It came close to making my Top 5 list, and if I had done an expanded version, it would definitely be on there.

Review: My Girlfriend Is Too Much To Handle

By Dustin Cabeal

You’re probably saying, “doesn’t this have a different title” and you’d be correct, but I don’t like that title, so I went with the title Amazon gave it because even they were like, “no, we’re not calling it that.” The actual title has a translation that doesn’t quite translate to another language, but roughly it’s virgin with sexual knowledge. Hence the banana.

Review: The Ancient Magus' Bride - e.01-13

By Erika Suarez

The Ancient Magus Bride delivers an intriguing fantasy love story between Elias, a Sorcerer with demonic features, and his fiancée Chise. This forceful relationship becomes unsettling to watch after Chise is bought in an auction and taken in by Elias as his new apprentice and soon to be wife. Everything feels sudden and new for the young apprentice when she is entranced by an enchanted world of magic stirred in with Celtic Mythology.

Review: Recovery of an MMO Junkie

By Dustin Cabeal

Recovery of an MMO Junkie is unusual in that it’s a budding love story between two adults. Now, that might sound like old hat if you’re not an anime viewer, but you’d have to dig and dig to find another anime like Recovery. Sure, there are plenty of romance stories in anime and manga form, but they tend to have a specific look and pacing to them. Recovery looks a lot like a typical slice of life show, mostly because it's also a slice of life story… about playing MMOs.

Review: Kino's Journey- The Beautiful World

By Erika Suarez

Kino’s Journey is a show you might miss through the list of anime on Crunchy roll and I’m glad I gave it a chance when I was hesitant in scrolling past it. This anime is about a traveler and her motorbike companion, Hermes. Through their vast adventure they visit various countries that hold memorable stories and sudden tragedies that reels you into the show.

Review: Dragon Ball Super E.120

By Erika Suarez

Gohan takes a brief lead on this week’s battle between Universe 3. The Universe reveal’s their grand plan with some tough robots, and it's nothing new and exciting that we haven’t seen. With the tournament drawing closer to its end, the episode fails to keep us entertained and gives us another rushed felt battle and leaving a lot of room for potential.

Dragon Ball Super E. 119

This week’s Dragon Ball Super felt like I watched a 10-minute episode rather than a 25-minute episode. I was pleased to see Universe 4 reveal their three warriors that were mysteriously unnoticed throughout the tournament. Sadly, the excitement for this reveal faded away when the warriors were put into action and made the battles look effortless and incredibly quick for their opponents.

Review: Dragon Ball Super E. 118

By Erika Suarez

In case you forgot, Goku has obtained a power far beyond Super Saiyan God Blue, and it’s called Ultra Instinct! It’s incredible and something unimaginable to my eyes. I was doubtful to how they can top a power much more than a God, but the show definitely achieved this challenge. Dragon Ball Super has gone a long way starting very slow in its beginning season, but it’s made its way to delivering us with that intense and accelerating battles we enjoyed watching from Dragon Ball Z. In this week’s episode universe 2 and 6 faced defeat in the Tournament of Power and ended with sad farewells.

Review: Drifters - Season 1

By Erika Suarez

When you take a look at the first episodes introduction you’ll most likely familiarize its sinister art style and merciless battles from Hellsing Ultimate as both animes are in fact created by Kouta Hirano. If you enjoyed watching Hellsing Ultimate as much as I did you will certainly love the mixture between war and fantasy once again and this time we are given Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits, dragons and a whole lot of blood.
