We are getting near the end of Mind MGMT even though we basically have a year left of the series. I know that seems like a ways off, but we all know as comic readers that ends coming quickly and this series will be over and done with before you know it.

When you review as many books as we do on this site, reading for leisure is something that rarely happens. There are a lot of titles that I want to read, but have fallen behind on because of a lack of time. There are a few titles though that I make sure to read, that I find the time no matter what and Dream Thief is one of them.

There was no bigger surprise last month than Titan Comics’ new adaptation of Doctor Who. Both the Tenth Doctor and the Eleventh Doctor had wonderful debut issues, but could the magic continue?

Let me just say how happy I am that I reviewed the second issue separate from the first. I’ll be honest my fear for this issue was whether or not it would be able to capture the same tone and strangeness of the first issue. It’s easy to start weird, but it’s something else to continue to be weird. Thankfully the second issue of And Then Emily Was Gone not only captured the same tone as the first issue, but it outshined it on many levels.

Well there’s no denying that this story is addictive. The mystery and the reveals that Matt Kindt has crafted with this narrative have hit all the right beats.

The sci-fi genre needs new ideas; by that I mean sci-fi ideas that reach the mainstream because the same water downed plots continue to be used over and over and frankly it’s dull.
