Worst Movies of 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Welcome to my end of the year movie list. Later today you'll get the Anime, and Comic list so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, this is the worst of list for movies. By no means did I see every bad movie and I could have filled this is a lot of obvious choices, but I stuck to a lot of nerdom or personally offensive "movies." You can find the Best Movies of 2017 list by click here.
5 Questions About 5x5 Fest
By Dustin Cabeal
Ghost City Comics is presenting another contest on their site and this time it's called 5x5 Fest. Essentially you have five days to make five pages of a comic and will be given a prop, setting and a line of dialogue to include in your comic. Judges will pick the winners and I will be reviewing the winners. Exciting right?! Keeping with the theme of "5" I asked Michael Ruiz-Unger and Tucker Tota about 5x5 Fest.
Review: Dragon Ball Super E.120
By Erika Suarez
Gohan takes a brief lead on this week’s battle between Universe 3. The Universe reveal’s their grand plan with some tough robots, and it's nothing new and exciting that we haven’t seen. With the tournament drawing closer to its end, the episode fails to keep us entertained and gives us another rushed felt battle and leaving a lot of room for potential.
Review: Suicide Squad #32
By Cat Wyatt
The first two panels of issue 32 are really sweet, but also a complete change of pace. It’s a cute little scene with June (Enchantress) teaching Waylon (Killer Croc) how to read. Considering the events that have been happening in Suicide Squad lately, it seems oddly out of place (though I did love that little moment there). This leads me to be very concerned about Waylon’s state by the end of this issue (have to keep reminding myself about the lack of permanency in comic deaths).
Review: Wonder Woman #37
By Cat Wyatt
Issue 37 brings a conclusion to the Children of Gods plotline, though I very much suspect this will not bring an end to the Darkseid plot (there’s no way they’re taking him down in a single issue, even with daddy dearest tagging in). For those that need a recap; last issue left us with Jason weakened (from using too many attacks) Diana likewise (Darkseid turned her into a snack) and Zeus arriving to beat the snot out of Darkseid. Finally! The fight I’ve been waiting for! (Ok, not the exact fight I was waiting for, I just want to see Darkseid get curb stomped).
Review: Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #35
By Cat Wyatt
Issue #35 more or less picks up right where 36 left off; our four Green Lantern Corpsmen (John, Guy, Hal, and Kyle) have found the asteroid (in Sector 3001, for those that are curious) that the Controllers are holding Ganthet and Sayd. They’re still running under the assumption that the Guardians are alive (and obviously we know that to be the case, thank goodness for perspective shifts!). Based on the decision made in the last issue, these four lanterns are the entirety of the rescue team. I still have my doubts about how good of an idea that is, and clearly some of the other guys are having second thoughts too. Minus Guy of course…his logic for it only being the four of them is interesting, to say the least.

I picked up Transdimensional having no prior knowledge of the subject. Not even the Kickstarter description. If I had, I probably would have skipped it. I am probably one of five comics fans that don't get into sci-fi horror. The Kickstarter describes the comic as being a sci-fi horror in the same family as Alien and The Abyss. I’ve seen Alien maybe (just the one - sad face from you probably), not The Abyss. I wasn’t the proper audience for this comic. However, if I was into this type of story, I could see its appeal.
