Review: Groo: Friends and Foes #4
Groo is back, but this time he’s about to embark on an adventure with someone just as if not more ridiculous than himself: Arcadio the Hero. Basically, Arcadio looks and acts the part…emphasis on acts.
Review: Itty Bitty Comics #6 – Grimmiss Island #2
Grimiss has a pretty good life as of the start of this issue. He has magical powers, lives on an island, and is in love with the Volcano Goddess.
Review: X #24
This issue picks up right where we left off as X is getting mauled by a pack of sangre fiends. Gundog (who we learned is really Lt. Setter) promises these people all the drugs they could need in exchange for X’s heart.
Review: Lady Killer #4
Lady Killer #4 wastes no time as we pick up right in the aftermath of last issue’s events. Peck has Josie at gunpoint and the two exchange a pretty vicious fight which includes a kick to Peck’s face and one of Josie’s heels of her shoes getting shot off. It looks like Peck has the upper hand towards the end and is about to make the hit when a bystander intervenes with a shotgun pointed at Peck’s head.
Review: The Twilight Zone: Shadow and Substance #3
The third installment of The Twilight Zone: Shadow and Substance starts a new two-issue story arc entitled Jailbreak.
Review: Quantum and Woody Must Die #3
I really want to like this book, but Quantum and Woody Must Die disappoints me for the second issue in a row.
Review: Hit: 1957 #1
My favorite miniseries of 2013 Hit is back with another installment in Hit: 1957. If you’re a fan of gritty, intelligent noir stories with stunning art then-well, first I highly encourage picking up the trade (which is known as Hit: 1955), and then pick up Hit: 1957 #1 when it hits shelves.
Review: Groo: Friends and Foes #3
This month our pals Groo and canine companion Rufferto travel into some more danger in the form of an eerie illusion set up by witches Arba and Dakarba.
Review: X #23 (Dark Horse)
In the wake of last month’s destructive issue, we’re left with part of X’s precious city destroyed. This issue X is back with a vengeance as his troubles increase when another threat presents itself: a gang known as Swine Revolution.
Review: Itty Bitty Comics #5 - Grimmiss Island #1
Art Baltazar and Franco are back for another all-ages comic entitled Grimmiss Island. It’s an over-the-top and quirky tale that anyone can enjoy.
Review: Lady Killer #3
Lady Killer continues to be one of my favorite miniseries as of late with this third installment. We get to dig a bit deeper into Josie’s character and find out a little more about Peck as well.
Review: The Twilight Zone: Shadow and Substance #2
I was a bit on-the-fence how I felt the first issue of Twilight Zone: Shadow and Substance. If I’m being completely honest, this conclusion to the first story “Stumbling Distance” didn’t do much to change that feeling.

Review: Quantum & Woody Must Die #2
I’ve seen a good amount of really positive reviews for this issue and I can’t hop on the hype train honestly. I really did enjoy the first issue, but for me this issue fell flat on the comedy and wasn’t all that intriguing story-wise.
