Review: Samurai Jack #18
Last weeks Samurai Jack wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I feel like this comic goes through really good moments and then lags for some issues. Even within the comic, this is clear. The cycle continues with this issue, as it has some great moments and then some “what was that?” moments.
Review: Chew #48
Holy shit, what a great issue. If I was to explain to anyone why Chew is such a great book (this month), this would be an excellent issue to show someone. It has everything that makes this comic so damn good. So you may ask what are those things? (Or you might be thinking about that itch in the middle of your spine, I don't read minds, I write reviews)
Review: Frankenstein Underground #2
Mike Mignola is a masterful storyteller. That’s not an exaggeration, it’s just a fact at this point. His ability to make the reader care about his characters is uncanny. After just one issue I became invested in a character that’s devoured in this issue.
Review: GrindHouse: Drive In, Bleed Out #4
Ludicrous horror concepts and nigh-incalculable body-counts aside, one of the best things about Alex de Campi’s Grindhouse series has been its impeccable sense of balance.
Review: Mind MGMT #32
It has been a while since I reviewed an issue of Mind MGMT. I fell behind and ran out of time to catch up for this the final arc. I am going to be so sad to see this series leave. I may just go back and review the issues I’ve missed because my god some important shit happens.
Review: 2000 AD - Prog 1927
Last week I went a little in-depth regarding the quality and charm of Flint's art on the current Dredd story, and this week the story pacing overall deserves some praise.
Review: Empire: Uprising #1
When I was about seven or eight I once asked my mum, why there were no stories where the bad guys win. I was confused that the bad guys always seemed to be rich, have good plans and usually a whole army.
Review: Uncle Scrooge #1
If you don't know a ton about comics, then you might not know that Donald Duck and, by extension, Uncle Scrooge, actually have a rich history in the comics medium.
Review: The Infinite Loop #1
The Infinite Loop is one of those comics that is trying to educate the reader about a certain topic (LGBT relationships) kind of like Bitch Planet.
Review: Ivar, Timewalker #4
With this fourth instalment, Valiant Comics’ Ivar, Timewalker continues to be one of the publisher’s best books. Fred Van Lente continues to craft a story that’s well paced, intelligent and yet very fun all at the same time. While this issue isn’t quite as good as the last, this book still very much deserves a place on your pull list.
Review: The Black Hood #3
The first issue of The Black Hood really impressed me. I think over the years Duane Swierczynski has improved as a comic book writer and he no longer takes as long to warm up on a series.
Review: Fight Like A Girl Vol. 1 - Learning Curve
The first thing that drew me to this comic was the title. Catchy and to the point. What really caught my attention was the premise.
Review: Tomb Raider #15
This months issue of Tomb Raider was a strange one. Not only because it deals with the old South American 'myth' of the chupacabra, but because the character voices feel a little off.
Review: Vamplets: Nightmare Nursery #1
You just can’t resist Vamplets. I mean just one look at these little vampyres. So or course it was my turn to take a read of these little adorable creatures.
Review: Creeple Peeple #3
The Creeples are wreaking havoc across campus, and they aren’t even the worst thing going on at the school. An old cult has been revived and students have been brainwashed. T-Ray, Peabo, and Spigs, along with their professor, fight to keep the science department- and themselves- alive.
Review: Gotham 1.19 - Beasts of Prey
Well Gotham came back with a bit of a whimper. It took me a while to get round to watching it (sorry). Here is a run down of some of the story-lines involved.
Swords of Sorrow Crossover Expands
Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce that Swords of Sorrow, the epic crossover of female characters conceived of by fan-favorite and bestselling writer Gail Simone, will continue to expand its reach in June and July with new tie-in comic book projects, each helmed by a female writer.

Triage X's Yuka Sagiri Is Getting A Figure
Have you watched Triage X? It's pretty disappointing which is a shame because I hear good things about the manga. (Be sure to check out Austin's reviews!) Well one of the biggest chested characters on the show is getting a figure already and frankly I'm not surprised.
Poster Time: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Pizza
Okay maybe not pizza, but that would be pretty rad if it was pizza. Zack "Don't Call Me A Director" Synder released these posters that you've probably already viewed a hundred times, but I kind of dug them. If for no other reason than they don't look like all the other fucking superhero posters that have been released in the past five years.
