Review: iZombie 1.6 - Virtual Reality Bites
I truly look forward to this show every Tuesday. The show is nothing what I expected, and I think a lot of new comic fans would agree. To put it in one sentence, I expected was some typical over sexualized zombie to fight with her friends and fall in love with total losers while failing at life, but what I got was an average girl who was at the wrong place and now has to deal with seclusion while solving crimes and turning not to hurt the people she loves.
Review: Samurai Jack #18
Last weeks Samurai Jack wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I feel like this comic goes through really good moments and then lags for some issues. Even within the comic, this is clear. The cycle continues with this issue, as it has some great moments and then some “what was that?” moments.
Review: Vamplets: Nightmare Nursery #1
You just can’t resist Vamplets. I mean just one look at these little vampyres. So or course it was my turn to take a read of these little adorable creatures.
Review: Hero Cats of Stellar City #5
Well I was actually wondering when Hero Cats would do a crossover with Galaxy Man and Cosmic Girl and it has arrived! So Galaxy Man is another comic written by Kyle Puttkammer.
Review: Nutmeg #1
The pitch for this comic is great. A crime saga can be good enough within itself, but to have it be with middle school kids and then these kids be mini bakers makes the pitch that much more fun.
Review: The Fade Out #5
Damn, it’s been awhile since The Fade Out. Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips have been some busy men recently.
Review: Savior #1
It may not be that surprising that, I love reading God related stories (since I reviewed Next testament through and through).
Review: Headspace #8
I had to hold back with last week’s review. The comic revealed a lot and I didn’t want to give anything away (at least tried my best not to), so I will be spoiling issue #7 here. If you haven’t read it, then hurry the hell up because dude you are missing out.
Review: Teen Dog #8
Well this is it dude. This is the end of an era. An era that Jake Lawrence has created and Teen Dog has followed out. With my arm held high in the air, I fist pump to you. But in all seriousness, I will miss the hell out of this comic. Lawrence captured pure fun into a bottle and then somehow produced it in this comic.
