Review: Gotham 1.20 – Under The Knife

Did I actually enjoy an episode of Gotham? I think I did, the show is still jerky and confuses the DC/Batman mythology, but this episode had some really enjoyable set pieces. The show still had its concurrent story-lines (minus Fish Mooney) but this time they flowed together well. Usually the show feels like each storyline is written separately, filmed separately and then edited together by a third party.

Review: Chew #48

Holy shit, what a great issue. If I was to explain to anyone why Chew is such a great book (this month), this would be an excellent issue to show someone. It has everything that makes this comic so damn good. So you may ask what are those things? Review: Aquila #1

This is the first of five in a mini-series about a gladiator who is bestowed an unnatural ability. As soon as I read the first page I was sucked in. The first panel tells us about our main character, who was a gladiator in Spartacus's army (awesome and I'm in). Aquila is an anti-hero, could you have a gladiator thrown into a war any other way?

Review: Capture Creatures #3

I picked up Capture Creatures #3 because I wanted something cute and the title screamed cute. I was not disappointed, this comic is adora-bubble. All of the creatures are well drawn and beautifully colored. No surprise (I kind of guessed again from the title) that it's very similar to Pokémon.
